I have over 20 years of equestrian experience and have owned horses since the age of 9. I
have competed in dressage, all riding club activities, western riding and show
jumping over the years and I now ride western and classical dressage. I have worked as a groom on
most types of yards and have taught riding for able and disabled adults and children and
continue to do so. In 2001 I became an Equine Body Worker. Through competing and
general riding I have been interested in finding ways to help my horses to improve their
quality of life against the stresses and strains placed upon them from riding and
competition. I became interested in massage as it is a complementary way of assisting the
horse without the use of drugs and yet also complements veterinary treatment when
recovering from injury or illness. It can also be used as a preventative therapy as most
problems and strains can begin within a muscle. In 2003 I gained my Equine Body Worker
Level Two qualification. Other areas I have covered are:
- Equine Touch Practitioner
