A Therapy Session

Firstly, a full assessment of the horse is undertaken to assess his conformation and way of going. A basic dental and saddle fitting checks are carried out. The horse is then walked and trotted in straight lines, backed up, and is observed on the lunge.

During the massage session any areas of tension will be worked on and then stretches are carried out to end the massage session.

At the end of the session the owner is introduced to safe stretching techniques and a working program will be discussed. The sessions last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes depending on the treatments carried out. Veterinary permission is required before any work is carried out on the horse.

After a therapy session a full report is sent to your vet and veterinary permission is required before any work can be carried out. Also while assessing your horse I can do a short assessment of the rider and advise if they need any work to straighten their bodies out.
